Milestone planning is an integral part of the development process. Product works with the field to discover and prioritize what to work on next. Stakeholder alignment is critical and it's important to ensure that all requests are created as issues. Feedback and discussions must be recorded in the corresponding issues.
The Product Owner for the milestone will create an issue to summarize the highlight the features of the milestone. They are also responsible for coordinating with GitLab Inc. on any features that require upstream MR reviews. The latest updated details can be found in the three month milestone plan issue.
After each milestone is completed, product and engineering will review the feedback and results in a monthly milestone retrospective meeting. Action items and follow ups will be assigned to be reviewed in the following retrospective.
